Why? Just why?

Could Incapability Brown be a racist because of the colour of his soul?

Mike, the man is a has-been, a leftover from the 1950s and 1960s who knows only one song, and only one note of that song. Sadly, he may simply destroy Bermuda and bugger off back to America, where he clearly feels more at home. Will Obamerica welcome his failure to grow, to embrace (and there’s loving in embracing), to hope, to see the good in people?

What do I see? A poor excuse for a man who doesn’t correct people when they call him “Prime Minister” (perhaps he encourages it?) because he feels the best way to earn a position is simply to pretend that it is his. He’s a poseur of the worst sort. And he’s done all of that without needing to be “black”.

Because Incapability feels lost without his “blackness”, it’s the only thing he has going for him, to his thinking, he gets awfully upset when people point the finger and say he’s an idiot and thinks: “They only say that because I’m black!” Perhaps unwilling to believe that someone of his skin colouring could possibly disagree with him, he has to believe that only whites could do so … simply because they are, well, white.

Yes, the colour of his out-of-date soul.

What to do? Shine a light!

R.

PS: I really like the new lay-out and style. The grey in the beard is a nice touch too!
